Linda Jean Goodman Jobe, 75, devoted and loving mother, Nanny,
sister, aunt, and friend passed away of complications due to covid-19 on
Friday, December 31, 2021. She was born in Enid, Oklahoma on October 13, 1946.
During Linda’s school years, the Goodman family lived in most of the southern
states as well as several countries overseas (including Japan, France, and
Spain) as her father was in the Army Air Corp and then went with the Air Force
once it was first organized. Once back in the States, Linda finished high
school in Jonesboro with the class of 1964 and then went on to graduate from
Arkansas State University in 1968. Linda retired from Cessna after many
years in the accounting/finance department. She was an active member of Three
Angels Seventh Day Adventist church and once she became homebound
she faithfully joined them online from home. She was proud to be a board
member and active volunteer for Project Robby, and was
thrilled to be elected the President of the Resident Council at Dove Estates. She
was deeply loved and will be missed by all. A memorial service will be
scheduled by the family at a later date. Preceded in
death by her parents, Earnest Roy and Mary Joyce
Goodman; sister Lois Payton; niece, Mandy Kersey; great- grandson Robert James
Smith. Her brother, JW Goodman passed away the day after she passed. Survived
by her daughter, Sherry (Gaylan) Smith; son, Kelly Jobe; grandchildren, Justin (Jessica)Smith, Amanda (Tanner)
Smith, Benjamin Jobe, Cooper Jobe,
great-grandchildren, Delphine Smith, Alice Ruth Smith, Canaan Smith.
