Paul Duane Carr, 64, passed
away Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro.
He was born December 6,
1946 in Caraway to the late Orin Lee and Dorcas June Hale Carr and graduated
from Jonesboro High School in 1964. He served in the United States Air Force as
M. P. during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Okinawa. Mr. Carr with his
brother James were land developers in the Hot Springs area for nineteen years.
He went back to school and earned a Bachelor Degree in Education from Arkansas
State University in 1994 and taught Head Start at Leachville for several years.
He was a creative artist with charcoals, pencils and pastels and a photographer
with landscapes.
Survivors include his wife,
Rena Carr; his children, Travis Carr (Jennifer) of Jonesboro, Angel Smith
(Martin) of Sacramento, CA and Kimberly Niblick Duarte (Jason) of Little Rock;
four grandchildren, Taylor Carr, Hunter Carr, Mari June Carr and Edie Smith.
He was also preceded in
death by a sister, Mary Doris Scarbrough.
