Paul Howard Haas, 73, of Jonesboro passed away Thursday, January 30, at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock. He was born June 14, 1946 in McCrory, Arkansas. He lived most of his life in Jonesboro. Paul retired from City Water and Light after 34 years of service. He served in the National Guard. Paul was preceded in death by; his parents: Julius and Amy Pearl Rolland Haas; one son: Tim Haas; one daughter-in-law: Misty Whitmire Haas; two brothers: Darrell and Donald Haas; six sisters: Shirley Miller, Truevera Dunlap, Myrta Ramsey, and Narine, Esteleen, and Wanda Faye Haas. Survivors include; his wife: Sue Ellen Minga Haas; two sons: Chris (Debbie) Haas and Noah Haas of the home; one daughter: Zoey Haas of the home; two grandsons: Jeremy and Jared (Heather Mashburn) Haas; three granddaughters: Jenna (Joe) Bartley and Tiffany and Ady Haas; and five great grandchildren: Sawyer and Karleigh Haas, and Presley, Liam, and Destery Bartley: as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Other survivors include his sisters: Cathlean Roemmich and Hazel Roemmich of St. Louis, Mary Birdsong and Dorothy (Eddie) Perdue of Jonesboro, and Julia (Vester) Johnson of Mount Sterling, MO. In lieu of Flowers, the family has asked for donations to be given to In His Wings Ministry.
